Electronics Technician Apprentice with Datum Electronics Limited – East Cowes
An exciting opportunity exists to work within our professional electronics team, learning about a wide range of engineering skills including CAD, electronic assembly, unit and system test and strain gauging.
Working with SETA, we have designed an Apprenticeship programme that combines many varied practical skills, NVQ work and Technical Certificate qualifications and hopefully working towards NVQ 3 and a BTEC.
Qualifications
To join this exciting Apprenticeship programme, you’ll need to pass tests and an interview. You should have minimum qualifications of 5 C grades at GCSE, including English, Maths and Science (or equivalent). Predicted grades will be considered subject to actual grades achieved.
Skills Required
You will have good attention to detail and the organisational ability to keep up with your NVQ qualification and college work. We work hard as team and reap the rewards of that hard work – we expect the successful applicant to do the same.
Training
Although the job is based in East Cowes, part of the training will take place at SETA in Southampton, so candidates must be prepared to travel regularly.

Start Date will be: September 2008
Apprentice will last for: 3 years finishing in 2011
