Torque Transducers and Torque Sensors from Datum Electronics provide an effective, reliable and cost effective method of measuring torque in rotary machinery.
Our standard torque transducers are capable of measuring torque from 0 – 10,000Nm as standard with options capable of measuring up to 500,000Nm.
We are one of the UK’s top torque measurement specialists and have supplied torque transducers and measurement solutions to some of the worlds leading organisations within rotary machinery.
Torque Measurement Solutions
Datum Electronics specialise in providing torque transducers, offering both standard torque sensors as well as custom built applications. Our torque transducers are non contact and transmit clean, reliable digital torque data.

Provides a simple, compact and reliable method of accurately measuring torque on a rotating shaft. The standard range can measure torque from 0Nm up to 10kNm. Conventional torque measurement with bearing

Standard range measures torque from 250Nm up to 10kNm, the same modular elements have been applied to bespoke torque transducers for use up to 500kNm. Torque Transducer coupling spacer WITHOUT BEARINGS

Is not limited by bearings; therefore it can be used at higher speeds, and places no bearings loads on to the shaft. The stator is mounted in relation to the shaft within an operating envelope of +/- 3 to 5mm. The standard range can measure torque ranges from 0Nm up to 10kNm. WITHOUT BEARINGS
Torque measurement like no other
We have developed a true non contact torque transducer system with a completely separate rotor and stator assembly. The rotor electronics are assembled around the shaft, which can either be a custom made shaft, or a standard option.
The stator assembly is then fitted around the shaft and held statically transmitting data from the rotating shaft. The measurement data is transmitted from the rotor electronics on shaft to the stator part which is then converted to torque, speed and power data as required. We have the option for direct USB output for logging direct to a PC or laptop.
